Brockie
A true veteran of UK jungle and drum & bass, DJ Brockie has been a driving force in the scene since its earliest days. Originally playing swing, soul, hip‑hop and ragga, he found his musical home in hardcore and quickly became part of the explosion of jungle culture in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His career in the scene spans over three decades, marked by relentless energy and deep respect from ravers and fellow DJs alike.
In 1991, Brockie was instrumental in establishing the iconic Kool FM 94.5, one of the longest‑running drum & bass radio stations in the world — a platform that helped spread jungle and DnB culture far beyond the underground. His long partnership with MC Det and the Kool crew has made him one of the most recognised names in the music.
In 1997 he co‑founded Undiluted Recordings with Ed Solo, a label that has championed quality releases and showcased emerging talent while cementing Brockie’s reputation as both a DJ and producer. His sets are known for their versatility — whether tearing up a big rave or adapting to festival crowds, Brockie always reads the room and delivers powerful, bass‑driven performances.
Today, DJ Brockie continues to tour worldwide, bringing his seasoned jungle and drum & bass selections to audiences old and new. From the pirate radio roots of Kool FM to international festival stages, his influence on the scene remains undeniable.
