4am Kru are London’s boundary-breaking live jungle and drum & bass duo, whose high-octane fusion of classic 1994-flavoured jungle with adventurous musical influences has electrified the UK scene and beyond. Since emerging in the post-lockdown era, they’ve carved out a reputation for bringing the spirit of old-school rave to life with a fresh, immersive energy that feels as wild as it is authentic.

Formed by producers Howie & Stu after years in London’s band and live music circuits, 4am Kru began as an idea rooted in a shared love of jungle’s original spirit. What started with spinning dusty rave records in their Tottenham studio quickly evolved into a full-on creative force, one that honours the breakbeats, deep subs, and euphoric rush of early ’90s jungle while boldly reinventing it for today’s dancefloors. Their music draws surprising inspiration from slow jam R&B, hardcore bands, Scottish folk and even classical music, giving their jungle framework a remarkably rich and eclectic feel.

Their debut album Incognito Rhythm captures this diverse sonic world perfectly, merging razor-sharp production with nostalgic nods and modern techniques. Tracks like High Time and their explosive remix of Guido YZ’s Real Lo showcase their ability to weave jungle, jungle techno and ’94-happy hardcore into a seamless, unfettered sonic ride.

4am Kru’s live shows are where their ethos truly comes alive. They’ve become known for exhilarating performances that blur the line between rave and live act, tearing through major festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Reading & Leeds, Boardmasters and more with an intensity that demands full engagement from the crowd.
