Nicky Blackmarket, an original junglist and regarded as one of the pivotal figures in the early years of jungle/drum and bass genre, representing this music globally for nigh-on 40 years. Nicky also co-owned the famed and influential record store, Blackmarket Records in Soho and the still active Kartoons record label – a label born out of the 90s drum and bass scene.
Known for his unique DJ sets and strong commitment to the roots of the genre, he continues to play internationally, spanning the old skool and the new, advocating for the drum and bass community.
