This Years Mucky Weekender Has Gone All In On Jungle and Drum and Bass

Mucky Weekender has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most unique independent festivals, and when it returns to Vicarage Farm near Winchester from 10th to the 12th of September 2026, Jungle and drum & Bass heads will have more than enough reasons to make the trip.
Founded by Dub Pistols frontman Barry Ashworth, the festival has evolved into a true celebration of underground dance music, blending an intimate community atmosphere with an eclectic soundtrack spread across five stages hidden amongst 28 acres of beautiful parkland. While Mucky embraces everything from Reggae and Breaks to House and Hip Hop, this year’s Jungle and D&B offering is particularly Massive!
Leading the charge is Goldie (Live), the Metalheadz founder whose influence on drum & bass remains unmatched. Joining him is Roni Size, the Mercury Prize-winning Bristol pioneer whose groundbreaking work continues to inspire new generations of producers and DJs.
The line-up also reads like a who’s who of jungle history. DJ Hype, one of the most technically gifted DJs the scene has ever produced, returns alongside legendary Metalheadz figure Doc Scott, while Micky Finn brings his heavy AWOL vibes into the mix. Hosting duties come courtesy of the unmistakable voice of MC GQ, ensuring authentic old-school vibes throughout.
Aries and Aphrodite add serious bassline firepower, while Uncle Dugs continues to fly the flag for classic Jungle.
Big Basslines and Breakbeat madness will be supplied by Ed Solo, Dr Meaker (Live), Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Plump DJs, A.Skillz and Stanton Warriors, whose newly announced appearance further strengthens an already heavyweight bass-driven programme.
Beyond Jungle and Drum and Bass
Beyond Drum & Bass, Mucky Weekender delivers plenty of crossover appeal. Legendary Reggae selector David Rodigan and cultural icon Don Letts bring their deep Soundsystem heritage, while Gentleman’s Dub Club, Dutty Moonshine Big Band and Dreadzone continue the festival’s tradition of championing live bass music in all its forms.
The wider line-up is equally eclectic, featuring Norman Jay MBE, Greg Wilson, Utah Saints, Mr Scruff, Slipmatt, Altern8, The Sabres of Paradise (Live), Children of Zeus, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, The Cuban Brothers, James Atkin, Shaka Loves You, Graham Gold, INJA, The Nextmen featuring Kiko Bun, Kaya Fyah & The Fyah Band, Woody Cook, Carly Wilford, Chris Tofu, Brandon Block, Soul of Man, Evil Nine, X-Ray Ted, Daddy Nature B2B DJ Dansey, Girls Next Door, Mr Switch, JFB and many more.
One of the biggest draws of Mucky Weekender has always been its atmosphere. Limited to just 5,000 people, the festival has become known for its welcoming crowd and genuine sense of community. As Barry Ashworth puts it: “You can arrive alone and leave with 100 new friends.”
The 2026 edition also brings back the festival’s immersive “Circus of Freaks” theme, complete with woodland stages, the Fire Garden and a host of interactive experiences that make Mucky feel worlds away from the average UK festival.
