Dj Westy found his love for music while doing a paper round job as a youngster   ,he would borrow his elder Brothers “Kings Of The Jungle” tape packs and later found a passion for producing his own &  worked up to finally settling with Cubase 5 and Novation Xiosynth as well as an array of well known plug-ins.

After many sleepless nights hacking away at Cubase he finally landed his first release“Red Back” through BOD Recordings supported by NU-Elementz & started to catch people’s attention. After the support of other labels and several other Artists he found himself joining forces with the likes of Asbo Records.

He has found his influences listening to the likes of Bladerunner, Serum, Aries, Gold Dubs,Kenny Ken and Congo Natty, in fact too many to mention and he thrives off of the crowd reaction which inspires him to keep moving.

Playing at some nearby events such as “Colour” at the Waterfront in Norwich and “Back To The Jungle” at Mustard Lounge in Norwich to Larger events up and down the Country, Rikki Says his future will be “Big Beats and Heavy Bass-Lines with plenty of variety added to the mix”

Currently Westy is producing beats that bounce the length of the D’n’B and Jungle spectrum But Is mainly known for his Jungle productions at Asbo and is now collaborating a busy release schedule on the label that sees his E.p ‘Fever’ Instores Now & A Fresh 12″ Jungle Law Landin Xmas 2015 ,The darker techier side of dj westycan be found at asbo’s sister label Anti Social Records & With interest from pioneering producers & Dj’s within the scene the future looks very bright.
